Loretta Young Show Theme

If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you should hear the theme music shortly.

The theme music for Miss Young's show was called "Music for Loretta" by Harry Lubin. Mr. Lubin also did the background music for her individual shows. There were not any words that I know of. The music is available for purchase. Remember, Miss Young and her dance double danced to it on one of her shows (Vol I or II); she played a secretary that had a tooth ache, I can't remember the name of the show. Hugh O'Brian starred in it with her. It is interesting to note that she won her first Emmy the week she was filming this show, early March 1955. She wore her costume when the NBC photographer took pictures of her with her Emmy and Oscar--she, as you know, was the first actress to win both. Also, her costume was her wedding dress that had been cut from floor length to street length.
